Gabe and Guppy
Gabe's uncle died,
He had a good cry,
All sad and alone,
Until along came Guppy,
What a sweet puppy,
Her fur as dark as the night,
Her eyes so bright,
Her mind as sharp as a knife,
Gabe loved her with all his heart,
From the very start.
The Connecter Role#2 By Kerri Description from the book- When Gabe comes home from school and his Uncle is dead on the floor. Eventually Gabe gets over the fact that his Uncle is dead. Experience from your own life- Sometimes we come home and dont want to see what we do. We get scared but eventually get over it like Gabe did. Paragraph- IN the book Gabe's Uncle dies. He was really sad but then he got over it . It is like us when something sad happens to us we get sad but eventually get over it.Something scary happens to him and something scary can happen to us.

Why did Gabe like the tire swing?
Because it makes him feel like he is flying over miles and miles of countryside.
What king of person was Uncle Vernon?
He was strict and crabby. He wasn't very friendly.
Why was he like that?
He was in the army for several years and might have just grown up that way.
Paragraph- Gabe liked the tire swing because it was lots of fun and made him feel like he was flying. HIs uncle was very strict and sometimes he was really grumpy. But inside he was a very kind man. Maybe he was this way because his parents were strict or maybe because the time he spent in the army.
